Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at these Flint Hill Goods Steel Folding Loading Ramps, and this is gonna be a great option to load up an ATV or a golf cart or a UTV onto a trailer and have the ability to open them up for a much longer ramp and then fold them down for easier, more compact storage when they're not in use. Let's check 'em out. It's gonna be an 80 inch long ramp, so that's just over six feet, which is pretty good. And when folded down, you're gonna cut that pretty much in half, down to about 48 inches.
The handles on the side make it easy to carry and transport, but it does feel heavier than its aluminum counterparts. Now, each individual ramp can support 800 pounds, and they do come in a pair, so when paired together, they can support 1600 pounds. They also include two cam buckle straps, so it can anchor the ramp two of the trailer. And on top of the trailer, they've got these tabs that'll overlap on the deck and have a rubber coating around there to help prevent some sliding back and forth. But really that strap is gonna be the thing that pulls this and wedges it into place, keeping it still, so it's not slipping on you when you loading or unloading.
They're gonna be a steel construction with a black powder coat finish. And really what you need to know there is that if they do become scratched, that powder coat wears away, they're gonna be more prone to rust and corrosion over time. So just know that before you go into this, there's a lot of aluminum loading ramps out there, especially for something like an ATV where you don't need a super heavy weight capacity. And that's maybe the direction I would go. Honestly, these aren't super heavy though.
Each ramp weighs about 29 pounds, so carrying it around, you're not gonna notice that as much, but you can still find more lightweight alternatives in that aluminum category, and you can find ones that are just as comparable with the weight capacity, and you don't have to worry about the rust and corrosion then. Depending on your needs, you might find that a ramp this long is a perfect fit for you because you just need a longer ramp for easier loading. Or maybe you find that it's really that folding feature that you're after. You don't have a lot of space in your garage or your shop to store these, so folding them down into that smaller size makes it much more manageable for storage when it's not in use, and that is totally valid. You know, not everyone has a ton of space to keep a giant six foot set of ramps, and so for me, I do like that quite a bit.
If you can go and look past the width, then I think it's gonna be a perfect fit, but it really just comes down to you and your preferences. That was just our look at this folding steel ramp set from Flint Hill Goods. Thanks for watching.
